Mike prefers working within a square format and produces large 12″ x 12″ canvas art that is fused to stretched canvas. He paints the sides and then varnishes the entire piece making it suitable for hanging without the need for a frame. He recently began experimenting with image transfer to ceramic tile and glass creating such objects as a grouted tile and wood serving trays and small glass gem magnets to showcase his original photographic images.
From 2007 through 2008 Mike had showings of his work at local coffee shops, consignment stores, and restaurants. A collection of 28 images on canvas sold in August 2008 to a newly rennovated salon in Oregon City. He has donated several pieces to benefit auctions for non-profits and continues to sell small items such as greeting cards, framed tiles, and canvas prints featuring his designs and images.
